3 Huge Tiredness Mistakes
You're Probably Making Right Now...
By Brian Alden
Being tired sucks, I probably don't have to tell you that. But what I do have to tell you is that being tired is not a condition you have to be resigned to living with. In fact, many guides exist, such as the popular Stop Tiredness Now program, that can help you end your daily tiredness, but it's important to first know why you're tired... and that's where I come in.
"Why am I so tired?": While many traditional websites you might come across can list as many as 25 or 30 different reasons for tiredness, I recognized throughout my struggle with tiredness that only 3 major factors really seemed to be common to ALL people. As you read this page, you'll discover not only the 3 key causes of your tiredness, but also learn how they can be overcome so that tiredness for you can become a thing of the past.
Please read through and don't assume you know what I'm talking about by the each headline, because most people have been fed complete BS on these topics and what you think you're doing right might actually be sapping your energy each day.

Mistake #1) Eating Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner
Ever since childhood, most of us are taught that we should be eating 3 square meals per day, and to fill up at each one. The unfortunate reality, however, is that the 3 meals per day regimen is causing many of you out there to be way more tired than necessary and experience unnecessary tiredness throughout the day.
Why is this? Most foods that we eat are metabolized, and thus all used up, within 3-4 hours of our eating them. Because the average human being is awake 16-18 hours per day, there is absolutely no way to arrange 3 meals without huge gaps that leave you without incoming fuel and energy for much longer than 4 hours. One tip that helped me was eating several smaller meals each day and spacing snacks easily, closing the gaps while eating roughly the same amount of calories will do wonders for your energy.

#2 You're Circadian Rhythm Is Feeling Neglected...
Ever heard of your body's Circadian Rhythm? If you really want to know "why am I so tired?" then it's time to get acquainted because being familiar with this concept is one of your biggest tools for fighting tiredness.
The Circadian Rhythm can best be described as your body's natural pattern of sleeping and waking. One of the primary ways that your body determines when its time to sleep is by the level of light around you: lack of light signals the release of melatonin and serotonin (drowsiness inducing neurotransmitters), while an abundance of light suppresses the release of these chemicals.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is that they utilize bright artificial lights, such as computer or TV screens, before bed. The light suppresses the chemicals and ultimately leads to it taking longer to fall asleep. The opposite effect can induce drowsiness if you're spending time in low-light environments during the daytime.
#3) You're Sleeping Too... Long?
Not to throw more talk about "cycles" at you, but the third and probably the most important aspect of tiredness management has to do with sleep... sleep cycles, that is. Our bodies sleep in cycles of roughly 90 minutes, and during these 90 minutes we progress through the 5 stages of sleep, completion of all 5 is essential to resting and restoring the body.
The problem is that most of us have sleep times that cause us to wake up in the middle of a cycle, and you will suffer for it as your body never fully wakes up and tries continuously to get you to lay down again and complete it.
The teaching that "8 hours is a good average sleep time" is another on of our common teachings that is completely false. Six, 7.5, and 9 hours are all sleep amounts evenly divisible by 1.5 hours and therefore allow you to get complete sleep cycles... Eights hours does not, and has you waking up right in the middle of one.

Now that you've got a better grasp on tiredness causes, let's talk solutions...
The problem most people run into, even after they know about such causes of tiredness, is that taking action can be complicated: Certain foods and meal times are better for energy level, every person has their own sleep cycle and so just assuming in is 90 minutes can be a costly mistake, etc.
However, putting this altogether isn't difficult at I want to impress upon you that it is VERY possible to completely eliminate tiredness with the proper guidance.
